Colin Farrell about the James Bond role tip - `Pierce Brosnan f**ked me on this`
Irish actor Colin Farrell says he doesn't believe countryman Pierce Brosnan is serious about him taking over the James Bond franchise - reports
Big News Network.
Brosnan was quoted in the media last week as saying he would like to see the Dublin-born "Alexander" and "Phone Booth" star headline the next Bond film. Unfortunately the press didn't catch the tongue in cheek nature of the comment, which Brosnan said whilst Farrell was in close proximity.
"I think Pierce is just messing with me, causing me a lot of grief. Pierce Brosnan f**ked me on this.", Farrell told UPI in a phone interview Sunday.
"I was doing a job in London last week and I arrived on the set every day and everyone was humming the 007 theme song."
"As Iâve said already 15 times today, Pierce has f**ked me. He just shot that out. Itâs great to think that he has that much faith in me but I have no idea. I havenât heard a thing about it except for Pierce and I don't think theyâre listening to him for casting."
So, would he consider playing the suave super spy if asked?
"I don't know", Farrell replied. "Nah. They would never offer it to me anyway, so I wouldn't even go there."
