Australia TV - SEVEN acquire rights for `Die Another Day` terrestrial broadcast in 2005

25-Nov-2004 • Media Alert

The Seven Network have acquired the rights to broadcast 007's latest outing "Die Another Day" in Australia. The film will be shown for the first time on Australian terrestrial television in 2005.

The network announced the news today in a press release outling the station's plans for next year.

"Die Another Day" had previously been shown in Australia on cable subscription channel Foxtel from July 2004.

Rival channel TEN still hold the broadcast rights to many of the older James Bond films, which have been shown sporadically throughout 2004 in the Saturday Night Movie slot.

Thanks to `Ken` for the alert.
