Connery blames his wife`s French roots for her huge ego

Sir Sean Connery has blamed his artist wife Micheline's French roots for her huge ego - reports Contact Music.

The former James Bond star insists his fame hasn't made him big-headed, but he fears he would have been more vain if he had Gallic blood, like his partner of 30-years.

The Scottish actor says, "I have honestly never understood all the fuss people make about me. I've often noticed that they are intimidated by me, without knowing why.

"It makes me ill at ease. I swear Micheline's got an ego a lot bigger than mine. Maybe it's because she's French, because you know you can't argue with them."
