Sir Sean Connery`s name used by £1m fraudsters
Names of famous figures such as Sir Sean Connery, the original James Bond 007, were used in a £1 million fraud, Birmingham Crown Court heard yesterday. Other famous names in the case include Harry Potter and Bill Clinton - reports

Paul Cadman, (38), of Cotterills Lane, Ward End, Birmingham; Michael Cadman, (36), of Spadesbourne Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire; Brendan Pearson, (42), of Willis Grove, Bedworth, Warwickshire; Albert Chapman, (57), of Blackwell Road, Barnt Green, Worcestershire; and Timothy Woodfield, (43), of Howard Road, Olton, Solihull, have all denied a charge of conspiring to defraud with others between June 2000 and January 2002.
Andrew Wheeler, prosecuting, said the fraud concerned a scheme set up by the Government to help members of the the public retrain or further their education with financial support from the state.
Mr Wheeler said the scheme involved students filling in a form in order to apply for an Individual Learning Account.
