Gerard Butler talks about his James Bond prospects

17-Jan-2005 • Bond News

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph (Australia), 35-year-old Scottish actor Gerard Butler ("Timeline", "Reign of Fire", "Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life") - who can currently be seen playing the title character in the film version of "The Phantom of the Opera", has talked about the prospects of a James Bond role.

He said he "would not object if offered the role" and went on almost happily about it - "I think I would accept...If I do say so myself, I think I would make a great James Bond...and it's a hard one to ignor because we - all of the potential actors for James Bond - are in the same situation as me".
