James Bond composer John Barry receives BAFTA Fellowship
James Bond composer John Barry was awarded the BAFTA Fellowship at this year's ceremony (held in Leicester Square, London on Saturday night) - reports

Virginia McKenna presented it to the man responsible for âone of the most iconic themes in the history of cinema,â the Bond theme. Barry also worked on Born Free â in which presenter McKenna starred - Dances with Wolves, The Ipcress Files, Midnight Cowboy, Out of Africa and others.
After a rousing standing ovation, Barry said, âIâve had the best fortune in the world to have worked with the finest directors and producers on the finest productions. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude. I am very, very touched.â

Barry blasted modern composers for creating forgettable scores.
