UK TV - `Tomorrow Never Dies` on ITV1, Friday evening

11-Mar-2005 • Media Alert

The 1997 James Bond film "Tommorow never Dies", starring Pierce Brosnan and Jonathan Pryce, is the next in the long line of 007 films to be shown on British television channel ITV1 as part of their "Ultimate Bond" series.

The previous two Bond films to be shown on the channel, "Die Another Day" and "The World is not Enough", were watched by 6.3 million and 5.72 million viewers respectively.

Film: "Tomorrow Never Dies"
Channel: ITV1 (UK)
Date: Friday 11th March 2005
Time: 20:00 GMT

For the first hour or so, this 18th Bond movie is up there with the best of them: it has terrific pace, Pierce Brosnan has romantic and rough-house appeal, and the post-Cold War story has grip and plausibility. However the momentum slows in the second half, where the drawn-out action takes over from the story.

Directed by: Roger Spottiswoode
Cast:
James Bond - Pierce Brosnan
Elliot Carver - Jonathan Pryce
Wai Lin - Michelle Yeoh
Paris Carver - Teri Hatcher
"M" - Judi Dench
"Q" - Desmond Llewelyn
Miss Moneypenny - Samantha Bond
Stamper - Gotz Otto
Jack Wade - Joe Don Baker
Henry Gupta - Ricky Jay
