Ford Thunderbird `Jinxed` off the market place for good
Motor company, Ford, is reported to be slashing the `Thunderbird` model from their range after the sales achieved under half the company's sales projections.
This retro-looking car, brought to it's fame in the twentieth Bond picture, `Die Another Day`, will be bowing gracefully off the market after the 2005 edition - reports
Auto123.
"We promised all along that this Thunderbird would have a limited production run, and we're being true to our word," Steve Lyons, Ford Division President said.
Lyons went on to say: "Thunderbird was a terrific image builder for the Ford brand showroom at a time when we needed it."
This announcement was made to employees at the Wixom Assembly Plant, situated northeast of Detroit, last Thursday.
The `Thunderbird` model was marketed as a limited edition vehicle, with an American market value of $59,275.
