Sir Sean Connery lends his voice to SNP election campaign

Legendary actor Sir Sean Connery is lending his voice to help the Scottish National Party (SNP) gain votes in the country's forthcoming elections.

The former James Bond is a longtime SNP supporter and has agreed to record a telephone message for the party in the hope it will reach 250,000 members of the electorate.

SNP leader Alex Salmond says, "This is a huge boost for the party.

"These phone calls will play a central part in the SNP's strategy of talking directly to voters across the country about our positive vision for Scotland's future."
