`We Have All The Time In The World` voted third favourite wedding reception song

12-Apr-2005 • Bond News

James Bond has only formally been to two weddings during his twenty on-screen adventures - his own and Felix Leiter's - which both ultimately ended in tragedy... But that has not stopped the public voting a Bond song as one of their favourites for wedding receptions.

"We Have All the Time in the World" by Louis Armstrong, which played over the end credits to the 1969 Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (where Bond's new bride Tracey was killed), has been voted the third most popular song to play for a first dance at wedding receptions.

The poll, conducted to coincide with Saturday's marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, had Bryan Adams "Everything I Do" and Carpenters "Close to You" as first and second respectively.

"This poll shows just how personal and emotional our musical choices are and demonstrates the important role music plays in all our lives," Lloyds TSB's Yasmin Hughes said. "Clearly, our tastes vary wildly with even Meatloaf bringing a tear to the eye."

Thanks to `Paul` for the alert.
