Secret of Sean Connery`s pecs appeal revealed

The secret of Sir Sean Connery's toned James Bond physique has been let slip by British actor Sir Michael Gambon - The Scottish sex symbol used ice packs.

The Gosford Park star was astonished when 007 producer Cubby Broccoli revealed the chilling technique had been used to perk up Connery's sagging torso on screen - reports ContactMusic.

Broccoli had asked Gambon to audition for the coveted lead role in 1971 Bond installment "Diamonds Are Forever", but the now 64-year-old was convinced he was too out of shape to portray the suave super-spy.

Gambon recalls, "When he told me he was considering me for the part of 007 himself I was amazed.

"I objected, 'But I'm bald'. 'So was Sean - we'll get around it.' he replied

"But I've got breasts like a woman,' I continued.

"Then we'll use ice-packs before the love scenes like we did with Sean,' he replied."
