Two James Bond scores make AFI `Greatest Film Music` ballot
The American Film Institute have been collating plenty of "100 Greatest" polls to celebrate their 100th anniversary. After heroes, villains, and quotes, their latest topic is film music.
Two James Bond scores made the list of 250 which will be voted on by
AFI members.
John Barry's classic score for 1964's "Goldfinger" and David Arnold's contemporary take on 007 for 1997's "Tomorrow Never Dies" made the shortlist.
The final results of the 100 Greatest Film Scores will be revealed in June, with the top 25 scores be presented live--and in order--by Principal Conductor John Mauceri and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra with classic scenes from many of the films projected on the Bowl's big screens.
