Honor Blackman wants a non-white James Bond

Honor Blackman gets another column inch this week with more comments on the future of James Bond 007.

The actress who starred as Pussy Galore in the 1964 film "Goldfinger" says she has an idea on the direction of the 007 role now that Pierce Brosnan has stepped down.

"I think they should go for a black or Asian Bond this time. It would give the films more zip."

Last week Honor said she wanted to return to the series.

"They've (Bond producers) never asked me back yet, but I've always thought it would be rather nice to have Pussy Galore go back as the M-type character - don't you? Either that, or I could be a villainess - like the head of a drugs ring. I think I'd like that."
