Britt Ekland voted best James Bond girl ever by UK mag
Brit Ekland has been voted best Bond girl ever. The sexy Swede won the accolade as voted for by readers of a lads' mag for her role as raunchy Mary Goodnight opposite Roger Moore's 007 in the 1974 James Bond film "The Man With The Golden Gun".
Statuesque Dutch-born babe Famke Janssen, who played deadly Russian assassin Xenia Onatopp opposite Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye, took second sport in the Nuts magazine survey - reports
LSE.
American beauty Denise Richards was third for her appearance in The World Is Not Enough as Dr Christmas Jones while English Rose Jane Seymour was the highest placed British Bond actress in fourth for her portrayal of sexy Solitaire opposite Moore in Live And Let Die.
Nuts conducted the poll of 1,500 readers as part of its campaign for former Brookside babe Jennifer Ellison to be the next Bond girl. More than 20,000 Nuts readers have already signed a petition demanding Ellison's lifelong ambition of becoming a Bond girl is fulfilled in 007's next movie outing.
Ellison said: "I think that Britt Ekland is incredible, but it's a shame the British ladies like Diana Rigg and Honor Blackman did not fair so well.
"As Bond is British to the bone, I'd like to be the British girl to top this list".
She added: "Given the chance my character would be blonde, mean and dangerous - the perfect antidote to the up tight Bond girls who fawn over 007's charms."
Nuts editor Phil Hilton said: "Jennifer will be a sure fire hit as the new Bond girl. We hope the producers listen to the Nuts readers who are clamouring for Jennifer to be the new Honey Ryder or Pussy Galore."
