Pierce Brosnan greets Fijian tourists
While waiting at the JFK International Airport, a local group, Bula Sere-naders, from Deuba near Suva was shocked when a man sitting behind them turned around and said: "Bula".
One of them blurted out, "Hey, it's James Bond!"
The man was Pierce Brosnan and he told members of the group that just by listening to their singing, (they were singing Fijian songs), he knew they were from Fiji.
Last year, tourist arrivals from the Americas (USA and Canada) recorded a 7 per cent increase to 64,000, consistent with the average growth of outbound travel from the region. Most of these visitors, are coming to wed or spend their honeymoon - reports the
Fiji Times.
