Pierce Brosnan will attend the 49th London Film Festival as a guest speaker.

His latest film, The Matador, playing in the Festival, is a smart dark comedy. He plays Julien Noble, a crass, self-serving, over-wrought hit man, boozed-up beyond repair. He clearly loves the opportunity to play against type, and indeed, to play with audience preconceptions. The foul-mouthed, dishevelled Julien, is about as far removed from Bond as one could imagine.

The LFT are "enormously pleased to be able to welcome Pierce Brosnan to the Festival to take part in this Times Screen Talk".
