German Bond fans reject Daniel Craig as 007
A reader poll by Maxim Magazine's German office shows little warming of James Bond fans to newly appointed 007 Daniel Craig - reports
Axcess News.
Earning less than 8% of the approval vote, Craig trails in popularity behind George Clooney, Clive Owen, Goran Visnjic, and Henry Cavill.
Front runner in voter preference Clive Owen was reportedly offered the role of James Bond prior to Craig, but declined the offer. Hugh Jackman also declined an offer to play the British icon super sleuth according to reports.
Popular or not, Daniel Craig is scheduled to make his first appearance as James Bond in the 2006 release "Casino Royale."
Craig was unveiled to the media as the heir to the James Bond role by producer Michael G. Wilson, producer Barbara Broccoli, and director Martin Campbell on October 14.
