Chef Gordon Ramsay hits back at Roger Moore`s foie gras campaign

20-Nov-2005 • Actor News

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has hit out at former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore, after the actor criticised the serving of foie gras in London restaurants.

The 007 icon has joined People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) in blasting culinary figureheads such as Ramsay for using duck liver - which is obtained from cruelly overfed birds.

But Ramsay has dubbed Moore a hypocrit - reports ContactMusic.

He says, "I think it's a bit two-faced of old Roger.

"At the height of his fame he had no scruples about swanning round top restaurants eating fancy food, and now he's telling us we all have to be goody two-shoes.

"No thanks, Roger. It's not on."

Thanks to `JP` for the alert.
