Pierce Brosnan spends Christmas in Hawaii, painting
Pierce Brosnan is planning a Christmas break in Hawaii, so he can concentrate on his painting hobby.
The former James Bond star is taking time off so he can holiday with his family at their Hawaiian getaway, and his Christmas gift to himself is painting material - reports
Contact Music.
He says, "I've set up my own studio. I started out as an artist of some sort and I'll still continue that. I don't think I could make a living at it, but I would be in the arts in some way or another.
"It's just a hobby but I'm an enthusiastic painter. I like it. When all the fame goes away, I think about just sitting out there in Hawaii painting away."
Brosnan reveals he was inspired to pick up his paintbrush again after falling in love with Mexican art he saw while filming The Matador.
He explains, "I came away with the art. I came away with the painters, the work I saw down there."
