Joseph Furst (`Dr Metz`) dies aged 89

Actor Joseph Furst, who played Dr Metz in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever", has died aged 89.

Born in 1916 in Austria, Furst then moved to Canada to London and Sydney, and recently resided at Bateau Bay, Australia, before passing away on 29th Novemeber 2005. His funeral service was held at Reynolds Court Chapel, Bateau Bay, on Friday 2nd December 2005 at 2pm.

As well as his turn opposite Sean Connery, Furst made a guest appearence in "The Russian Prisoner" episode of "The Saint" with the third 007, Roger Moore.
