Daniel Craig to judge youth film prize

07-Feb-2006 • Actor News

Daniel Craig, the latest star to play James Bond 007, is to judge some of the UK's most talented hopefuls at the First Light Film Awards in London - reports the BBC.

His fellow judges include The Office star Martin Freeman, film director Anthony Minghella, comic Jenny Eclair and actor Martin Clunes.

British-based film-makers aged between five and 18 are eligible for the awards which will be presented on 28 February.

Craig, 37, will make his debut as 007 in Casino Royale later this year.

All the nominated films were funded with National Lottery grants and were created through the UK Film Council's First Light initiative.

There are 10 award categories, including drama, horror and comedy and animation.
