Moore backs Tamahori through prostitution scandal

07-Feb-2006 • Bond News

Actress Julianne Moore is standing by director Lee Tamahori after he was arrested for posing as a drag prostitute in Los Angeles last month.

Moore is set to work with Tamahori in "Next" and says she will not pull out of the movie because of the scandal - reports WebIndia. She says: "I feel bad for him. I think the experience was probably pretty upsetting and humiliating and he's been very, very brave about it."

The former James Bond director was caught in Los Angeles after he solicited an undercover cop while dressed as a woman. He was arrested in Hollywood when he approached the cop who was in his car, entered the vehicle and offered to perform a sex act for money.
