Sir Roger Moore wins £10,000 for UNICEF in radio phone-in

16-Feb-2006 • Actor News

Sir Roger Moore has won £10,000 for his favourite charity UNICEF by making a celebrity call to Virgin Radio's morning show.

Roger fan and radio listener "Dorothy" won £20,000 for getting the former James Bond to call the show. So... how did she do it? She was forwarded an email that had originally came from Roger Moore... so she had his email address. So, she emailed the address... and was amazed when she, and the show host, got a call from Sir Roger himself.

Over 100 celebrities called in during the competition to try and win the charity prize money.
