Asia TV - James Bond marathon in April on Star Movies
Good news for all 007 fans.
Star Movies will be airing a series of James Bond movies and if youâre a fan, tune in to these action-packed shows back-to-back Saturday nights beginning April 1 at 10pm.

Tomorrow Never Dies (April 1, 10pm) â When the Peopleâs Republic of China sinks a British battleship for straying in her waters, media mogul Elliot Carver knows of the attack before it happened. MI6 assigns James Bond to find out how. Teaming up with External Security Force agent Wai Lin, Bond takes on Carverâs private navy in a race-against-the-clock to prevent World War III. Datuk Michelle Yeoh made her appearance as a Bond girl in this 1997 action film. Co-starring Pierce Brosnan and Jonathan Pryce.
You Only Live Twice (April 2, midnight) â When the United States blames the Soviet Union for stealing their manned space orbiter, MI6 sends Bond to investigate. With the help of a team of ninjas, 007 tries to stop war between the Soviet Union and the United States. Sean Connery, Akiko Wakabayashi and Tetsuro Tamba star in this 1967 production.
Octopussy (April 8, 10pm) â Bond is sent to investigate a case involving smuggling of precious jewellery. Bond follows seller Kamal Khan to India , where he meets Octopussy, the head of a female gang of smugglers. Learning that Khan and Octopussy are partners with General Orlov, an insane Soviet hardliner, Bond races to West Berlin to disarm a nuclear bomb planted by Orlov as part of his mad scheme to invade and conquer Europe. Starring Roger Moore, Maud Adams and Louis Jordan.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (April 9, midnight) â George Lazenby, Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas star in this action thriller, which finds Bond trying to stop criminal Blofeld who plans to destroy the world using biological warfare.
The Living Daylights (April 15, 10pm) â Timothy Dalton makes an impressive debut as agent 007. This movie sees Bond having to nail a double-dealing Russian general. Co-starring Maryam D'Abo and Jeroen Krabbe.
Thunderball (April 16, midnight) â In a bold and deadly scheme, the evil SPECTRE organization hijacks a NATO plane and seizes two atomic warheads, each capable of killing millions of innocent people. As the world is held hostage by the threat of a nuclear nightmare, Bond jumps into action, racing against time to save the world. Starring Sean Connery, Claudine Auger and Adolfo Celi.
Moonraker (April 22, 10pm) â Roger Moore returns as the dashing secret service agent. This time, Bond must investigate the theft of a space shuttle with help from CIA agent Dr. Holly Goodhead and sexy supermodel Corrine. Co-starring Lois Chiles and Michael Lonsdale.
The Spy Who Loved Me (April 23, midnight) â When British and Russian nuclear submarines go missing, their governments send in agents, James Bond and Anya Amasova to investigate. The trail takes them to billionaire shipping magnate Karl Stromberg, who has captured the subs as part of his mad scheme to wipe out all surface life and lead a new world underwater. Starring Roger Moore, Barbara Bach and Curt Jurgens.
Never Say Never Again (April 29, 10pm) â Bond is assigned to find the culprit who has stolen two thermonuclear devices. Starring Sean Connery, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Max Von Sydow.
Diamonds are Forever (April 30, midnight) â When diamonds are smuggled out of South Africa, the British government is concerned. Bond traces the diamonds to billionaire industrialist Willard Whyte and soon discovers that Whyte has been abducted and Ernst Stavro Blofeld has taken his place. He soon discovers that Blofeld plans to blackmail the world by using the diamonds to power a satellite of enormous destructive force. Starring Sean Connery, Jill St. John and Lana Wood.
