Two Bond baddy lookalikes rob bank in Los Angeles

09-Apr-2006 • Bond News

Two bank robbers who resembled villains from a James Bond movie robbed a La Crescenta bank at gunpoint Thursday, officials said.

The "007 Bandits" robbed the U.S. Bank inside Vons supermarket at 3233 Foothill Blvd. at 4:15 p.m., FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said Friday - reports Daily News.

While one robber held a teller at gunpoint - silently, like Bond villain Odd Job - his partner instructed tellers to hand over cash, in large bills, which he placed in a beige canvas bag.

The second robber either had silver-capped teeth or wore a silver grill on his teeth. FBI investigators nicknamed him Jaws, after a Bond villain who had silver teeth.

Officials would not say how much money the robbers got away with - or whether they revealed a master plan for world domination.

The robber nicknamed Odd Job is in his early 20s, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds with a mustache and goatee. His partner, Jaws, is in his early 20s, 5-foot-7, 160 pounds with silver teeth.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the FBI at (310) 477-6565 or the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-5840.
