Brosnan up for an Australian Bond 21, writers not so convinced
Australian newspaper
The Age are reporting on Brosnan`s desire to have Australia as a location in Bond 21, but the honesty must be filtered from the hype, as the announcement comes during the promotion of "Die Another Day" in Sydney.
Brosnan is keen on Sydeny as a location in Bond 21, as is screenwriter Robert Wade`s wife. But Wade was not so sure. "I mean it`s wonderful, full of Australians though," he stumbled.
"No I mean it`s something about Australians... You`re too nice to have explosions going off around you," he said as he tried to recover from the gaffe.
Bond was a little more endearing: "I`m up for it, I`d love it, sure, great town, great place."
His enthusiasm for filming his next film in Australia went unmatched as he fronted the local media to promote his latest Bond outing, "Die Another Day", which premieres in Melbourne tonight.
But being Bond, having to front a pack of Australian journalists can be a bit of a drag.
Brosnan sat with arms crossed or one arm on his hip, he yawned while answering questions and sighed at some of their content. Sporting the grey locks that were rinsed out for Die Another Day, Brosnan spoke fondly of his ego.
