Die Another Day cars at JDHT Museum open day in Coventry, UK on Sunday

28-May-2006 • Event

The monthly open day of the JDHT Museum at Browns Lane in Coventry is this Sunday 28 May, from 10am to 4pm.

As usual, there will be a number of rare and unusual Jaguar and Daimler cars on display, including a Jaguar D-type valued at over 1 million GBP, the racing Jaguar which won at Le Mans in 1988, a Jaguar XJ 220, and the R Coupe styling study, together with more than twenty other cars illustrating the history of these two famous Coventry brands from the 1890s to the present day. As a special treat for our younger audience (and those young at heart!), a highlight is one of the Jaguar XK8 sports cars from the 2002 James Bond film "Die another Day".

The museum is in the grounds of the Jaguar factory in Browns Lane at Allesley on the outskirts of Coventry, and entrance is through the main gates on the Coundon Wedge Road. There are signposts from the A45 Coventry by-pass leading you to the Jaguar Browns Lane Plant. Entrance to the museum is free.

Visitors to Coventry also have the opportunity of visiting the Coventry Motor Musuem in the city centre, where there is currently a special display of Jaguars, featuring many other cars from the JDHT collection, and entrance to this museum is also free of charge.

Note: The JDHT museum is only open this Sunday, and not on the Bank Holiday Monday or following Tuesday.
