Sir Roger Moore to shoot new movie in the United Arab Emirates

15-Jun-2006 • Actor News

The shooting of a major new movie staring former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore is set to begin in the UAE in November, film studio bosses have announced.

Sir Roger and fellow star Thomas Downey Jr are expected to shoot scenes across the country for The Sangraal.

The Sangraal has a budget of more than $50 million (Dh183.5 million) and is said to contain elements of hit movies such as The X Files, Indiana Jones and National Treasure.

William Baker from Nickelson Entertainment Group (NEG) which is producing the movie, said filming should begin soon after Ramadan.

"It's extremely exciting," he said.

The news comes in the wake of an announcement that a major film studio will be built in Ras Al Khaimah by a sister organisation.
