24-Jul-2006 • Actor News

Former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore wants to meet a grisly end in hit ITV1 cop drama Midsomer Murders - reports The Sun.

John Nettles who plays DCI Tom Barnaby in the show, told us: “Roger Moore has expressed his interest in playing a murder victim.

“The trouble is how could we kill Roger Moore, it would be like killing God?

“I think he’s a fan of the show so we’ll see what develops.”

Sir Roger, 78, is currently filming a voice-over for new animated movie Agent Crush with Ewan McGregor. His last on-screen acting role was four years ago in the film Boat Trip with Cuba Gooding Jr.

Midsomer Murders is a worldwide hit for ITV and has been sold to 222 countries and territories. It returns for a tenth series with the 50th episode on September 10.

Other well-known guest stars in the show have included Orlando Bloom as well as ex-Bond Girls Honor Blackman and Samantha Bond.
