Bond rumour monger gets caught out live on air

11-Sep-2006 • Media Alert

Sky Showbiz reporter Neil Sean, who seems to make a living out of concocting fake rumours about the James Bond films, was caught off guard last week.

Neil Sean's column-filling "gossip" has included such greats as Dido singing the Casino Royale theme, and Teri Hatcher trying to be wooed back by 007 producers as a villain in the next film. Total rubbish.

With his microphone still live, the rumour monger whines about how his showbiz "stings" have been dropped by Sky News and claims the TV station "doesn't know what to do with showbiz". He concludes that they must struggle to find someone to come in that early in the morning and "be lively for 5 minutes". It's a tough life Sean.

His parting shot before he realised his microphone was still live was to express how "good looking" Ian Huntley is - a convicted child murderer - and that he is "a weird guy".
