James Bond listed in `Britishness` poll
Britain's Queen Elizabeth has topped a poll of what "Britishness" means to youngsters.
The survey - conducted by internet service provider Google - asked Brits aged between 4-18-years-old to portray what "Britishness" meant to them through symbols, graphics and drawings - reports
Monsters&Critics.
The queen headed the list of people depicted, leaving behind British greats like William Shakespeare, Ian Fleming's suave spy James Bond and fictional wizard Harry Potter.
Apart from the monarchy, other top images included the British flag, uniformed police and sausages.
Nikesh Arora from Google said: "There has been a great deal of public debate over the last year what it means to be British. Our report shows the importance of tradition, heritage and history to the upcoming generation."
The more unlikely symbols depicted included Welsh dragons and the Scottish Loch Ness monster.
