02-Jan-2007 • Actor News

Former Bond villain Toby Stephens, who played Gustav Graves in Pierce Brosnan's final 007 outing "Die Another Day" (2002) has made the new "Who's Who" - reports Reuters.

So Who's Who for 2007? A James Bond villain joined a transvestite potter on Tuesday in the hallowed pages of the famous biographical reference book.

In the 2007 edition, actor Toby Stephens wins recognition for his portrayal of a Bond baddie.

Potter Grayson Perry wore a frilly Shirley Temple dress to collect his Turner Prize, one of the art world's most controversial awards.

"Goodness Gracious Me" actor and writer Sanjeev Bhaskar joined his wife Meera Syal among the 33,000 entries.

He listed as his favourite pastimes "dreaming, chatting, collecting and watching movies, staying in, anything relating to Elvis Presley/Beatles/film trivia/gadgets."

The first edition of Who's Who was published in 1849 as a unique research tool for measuring social change.

During World War Two, Winston Churchill personally intervened to ensure its publication and full circulation was not affected by a national paper shortage.
