Daniel Craig`s rant at fan who took snap of his bottom
MEDIA RUMOUR
Craig left a star-struck admirer shaken and stirred by a four-letter outburst - when he realised his posterior had been papped, reports the
Daily Mirror.
The 39-year-old Casino Royale star launched his astonishing verbal attack at London's posh Harvey Nichols store on Wednesday afternoon.
He even squared up to 24-year-old Craig Evans for having the "cheek" to take a discreet camera-phone snap of his rear as he was about to leave the Knightsbridge department store.
An irate Daniel had to be placated by his producer girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell, who told him to "behave and calm down" before ushering him into a waiting silver Mercedes.
"I was frightened out of my mind," says Craig, from Durham. "I told him I was only taking a picture, that I thought he was a great actor and that I'm a huge James Bond fan.
"After he swore at me I was so shocked and disheartened. I said he had no manners using that sort of language. But Daniel said, 'The only reason I'm f***ing swearing is because I'm f***ed off with you!'"
Craig was on a daytrip to London with his girlfriend and was browsing in Harvey Nicks when he clapped eyes on the Bond star. Wanting a memento of his hero, he took a subtle snap on his camera-phone as Daniel left the store.
"I thought I was going to miss him so I stood by the door - well away from him - and took a picture to show my mates at home," he explains.
"But he stormed over and said: "What the f*** are you doing that for? You've got a f***ing nerve. Can you delete that? Get the f*** out of my face!'
"He squared up to me and he's a lot bigger than me. I was really intimidated. It ruined my day. It was only a picture of his back. I'll never watch a James Bond film with him in again. He was totally out of order."
It's not the first time the actor has blown his top. He allegedly told reporter Johann Hari to "F***" off at the Baftas in February, when asked if he was wearing 007's famous swimming trunks under his tux.
