Sir Roger Moore says he has not retired from film

23-Jul-2007 • Actor News

Former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore has denied reports he is to quit the film industry, insisting he's not yet ready to retire from Hollywood - reports Contact Music.

The 80-year-old actor has featured in a string of made-for-TV movies in recent years, but has not been seen on the big screen for the last five years, prompting speculation he is preparing for retirement.

But Moore admits he is simply holding out for a "decent script" and a good wage.

He says, "I'm not retired yet. If someone offers me a decent script with a nice schedule and a bit of dosh (money) to sweeten the deal, then I'm for hire!"
