Sir Roger Moore thrilled he got to keep 007 suits

12-Sep-2007 • Actor News

Sir Roger Moore rejoices at the fact that the producers of James Bond movies gave him some of the designer clothes he wore on the sets, after the shooting would be complete - reports the Malaysia Sun.

The 79-year-old star considers the tailor-made suits to be a fashionable perk to playing the suave agent's role.

"I used to get the suits, because I'm cheap and don't like buying my own!" the Daily Express quoted the actor, who last played Bond in the 1985 flick 'A View To A Kill', as jokily saying.

"On a Bond film you'd find there would be five or six of the same suit, and all tailor-made. As they were made for me, it seemed only fair that I should get the odd one or two. It's a little perk that actors get from time to time," he added.

Moore, however, bemoans that he cannot wear those suits now because they do not fit him.

"Alas, they wouldn't fit now," he says.
