Vote for the James Bond series in `most influencial film` poll

The BBC have launched a poll to determine the most influencial film (or film series) of the last 75 years, to coincide with the 75th Academy Awards held later this month.

A common moan among movie buffs at Oscar time is how few of the industry`s truly groundbreaking films receive their just recognition.

Academy glory seems to have eluded a host of pictures that have had an enormous impact on the audience and other film-makers.

To mark 75 years of the Academy Awards, the BBC are asking you to name what you thought was the most influential film of the last 75 years and why.

James Bond goes up against the Star Wars series, Godfather series, Lord of the Rings series, Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction, and The Shawshank Redemption.
