Essential Bond author Lee Pfeiffer remembers his friend Lois Maxwell

02-Oct-2007 • Bond News

Lee Pfeiffer, co-author of the best selling "Essential Bond" and editor in chief of Cinema Retro magazine has written a personal remembrance of Lois Maxwell, who passed away this week aged 80.

"Throughout my years of association with the Bond franchise and Eon Productions, I have been honored to know Lois Maxwell and to call her my friend. She was a unique woman in every way: steadfast, humorous, and extremely witty", Pfeiffer said.

Maxwell attended several James Bond events after she retired from her role as Miss Moneypenny in 1985. She had played the character since the first 007 movie "Dr No" in 1962.
