Aussie photographer in case of mistaken identity with Brosnan assault claim

01-Nov-2007 • Actor News

Brawling with James Bond is bound to get you in the headlines, but allegations a Sydney social snapper had been battered by 007 Pierce Brosnan this week was all news to the local lensman at the centre of the sparring session.

The claims first published by TMX yesterday named Robert Rosen as the Aussie paparazzo who was pressing charges against the actor for an altercation outside a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles last Friday night.

But a surprised Rosen told Confidential he was tucked up in front of the TV at home in Potts Point when the celebrity fight was supposed to have happened.

The mistaken identity may have done wonders for his profile, but the gentleman of the trade only had nice things to say about his would-be attacker.

"I met Pierce many years ago and he was a lovely fellow. He obviously came across the other 'evil' Robert Rosen,'' he joked.

It turns out that a lesser-known photographer of the same name is to blame for the confusion.

TMZ have interviewed the pap who is claiming Brosnan 'went crazy'.
