Daniel Craig makes travel plans thanks to moviemakers

Daniel Craig is desperate to witness the Northern Lights after seeing the Arctic phenomena recreated on the big screen in his new film "The Golden Compass" according to Contact Music.

The British actor has travelled extensively and visited some of the world's most famous attractions but now he's desperate to return to the Arctic just like his adventurer character in the family film.

He says, "I travelled up to the Arctic Circle as a child and I've been that far but I've never seen the lights. "I've seen the midnight sun. I've been to Iceland and I've filmed up on the glaciers, but I'd love to see the Northern Lights."

The lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are naturally created coloured light displays in the night sky.
