Daniel Craig `personally committed to playing Bond` but accepts the end will come

31-Dec-2007 • Actor News

Daniel Craig hates being recognized when he is trying to have a quiet drink, so he wears a false beard. He said: "I wish, sometimes, I could just go sit and spend the afternoon in the pub. Well, you know, if I'm quiet and I wear a hat, a pair of sunglasses and a false beard, I could probably get away with it."

Despite hating the fame that comes with playing the world's most famous secret agent, the 39-year-old actor hopes he can continue to star in the James Bond franchise.

He said: "It's got nothing to do with me. I'm personally committed to playing Bond, but, of course, things change.

"Without being too doom and gloom about it, things can go wrong, and if it goes wrong, they'll want to get someone else."
