Tabloids get their claws out on Pierce Brosnan and his wife

Once you've played James Bond on the big screen there is no escaping the paparazzi.

Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith went for a dip in the ocean in Kauai, Hawaii on Wednesday - and the tabloids had a field day.

Pierce, 54, was seen shirtless on the beach horsing around whlist Keely, 44, was seen frolicking in the ocean in a two-toned bikini. Gossip columns across the US splashed the unflattering pictures around the web and trotted out lines such as "she's having a whale of a time"
