Daniel Craig admits his `difficult` media image spurred reluctance from studios

06-Feb-2008 • Actor News

Daniel Craig has claimed that he hates being branded "difficult" by the media because it scares film companies away from working with him - reports Digital Spy.

He revealed that the studios were wary of employing him in Casino Royale due to his media image as a reclusive person.

Craig is quoted as saying: "When I was making Bond [Casino Royale], the film company were nervous that I wasn't going to do any press, as that's my reputation for some reason.

"I don't think that's true, it's just lazy journalism; they want to paint me as someone difficult. I think I'm quite nice, but maybe I'm delusional.

"There is no point making Bond if you're not going to sell it."
