Eva Green denies tabloid gossip with French President

11-Feb-2008 • Actor News

"Casino Royale" star Eva Green has denied she spurned the advances of French President Nicolas Sarkozy - insisting the politician has never propositioned her, reports Contact Music.

The actress, who played Vesper Lynd in Daniel Craig's debut 007 outing, was reported to have refused an offer from Sarkozy to accompany him on an official trip to the U.S. last November.

But the 27-year-old beauty is adamant she has never even been introduced to Sarkozy, who married former supermodel Carla Bruni earlier this month.

She says, "No it never happened at all. I read that story and I thought it was terribly funny because I have never met the guy before in my life."
