An application for a studio building, landscaping, car parking and access roads on the site in Pinewood Road, Iver, will be debated by South Bucks District Council's planning committee on Wednesday.
The plans,
part of what the studios call Project Pinewood, will see an amphitheatre, a Venetian canal and the sights of New York, Paris and Los Angeles being created on green belt land if given the go-ahead.
Ten letters of objection have been received by the council, with main worries focusing on extra traffic, increased noise and fears about insufficient public transport.
Pinewood Studios Ltd set out its proposals to build a live-work community' - with extra housing in the region of 2,000 to 2,250 homes - on the site in November last year.
The company has not yet applied for permission for the homes.
A previous application for outline permission was granted in April 2006 after Pinewood agreed to pay Buckinghamshire County Council £100,000 for speed reduction works in Pinewood Road.
Council officers recommended that the plans be approved in its report.
