From the sublime to the ridiculous, the `next Bond` media rumour mill names Townsend

Even though Pierce Brosnan will be making his fifth 007 adventure, Bond 21, the media are still whipping up the rumours on who will replace him.

This time around, BreakingNews.ie have named Pete Townsend as the next Bond.

They claim the Dubliner is "firmly in the frame".

Surely they really mean fellow Dubliner - but actor rather than musician - Stuart Townsend? The 31 year-old actor will appear on the big screen later this year alongside Sean Connery in "The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen".
