Sir Sean Connery injures himself playing golf in New York

15-Jun-2008 • Actor News

James Bond legend Sir Sean Connery was shaken but not stirred after injuring himself playing golf - reports The Mirror.

The 77-year-old Scot fractured his ankle during a round at the exclusive Mount Kisco Country Club in New York.

He was rushed to hospital. Edinburgh-born Sir Sean, who starred in six Bond movies and now lives in the Bahamas, is thought to have been sent home after treatment.

A spokeswoman for the actor said last night: "He's fine, thanks for asking."

He is expected at next week's Edinburgh International Film Festival.
