Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system fuels Aston Martin DBS
Bang & Olufsen and Aston Martin have announced a deal to give Aston Martin's DBS -- the current James Bond vehicle -- its 13-speaker BeoSound DBS system, reports
ElectronicHouse.
When James Bond bolts around in his Aston Martin again this fall, heâll be able to crank up the tunes with a kickinâ Bang & Olufsen system.
B&O has announced a deal with the esteemed British sports car manufacturer to outfit it with its BeoSound DBS sound system. Daniel Craig got to cruise with the Aston Martin DBS when it debuted in âCasino Royale,â and it was picked again as the automobile of choice for 007 in this fallâs âQuantum of Solaceâ (we hope the movie and the car chase scenes are more exciting than the title).
The Danish speaker manufacturer is no stranger to a good-sounding ride. Earlier this year it announced its robust sound system that would go into the Audi A4 Avant.
The BeoSound DBS for the Aston Martin will include 13 speakers to go with B&Oâs proprietary digital signal processing and ICEpower technology.
Among the 13 speakers are two Acoustic Lens Technology (ALT) motorized tweeters on the dashboard sides that provide greater sound dispersion; five midrange speakers; three more tweeters; and three woofers, including a 20-mm driver installed under the back seat bench.
Maybe Bond will be able to kill his enemies by making their ears bleed with surround sound.
