Bond girl Gemma Arterton comes out swinging for curvy figures

There were catty comments after a snap appeared of Gemma Arterton sporting a double chin but, as befits a Bond Girl, the stunning 23-year-old actress has come out fighting - reports the Daily Mail.

Gemma, who appeared naked and slicked in oil in the 007 movie Quantum Of Solace, said she had no plans to slim down for future movie roles and took a swipe at her critics, declaring: ‘I refuse to conform to this muscly, sinewy look that so many actresses seem to think is attractive.

'I hate it and I don’t think it’s very feminine. I dress like a woman and I wear a lot of couture because it’s made for real women with curves.’

Speaking at Harvey Weinstein’s post-Bafta party at The Double Club, Gemma admitted: ‘I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hurt by what people were saying about the picture.’

But she added: ‘It was just a bad photo taken from the wrong angle. I’m a size ten, which I don’t think is big.

'Anyway, I’m about to shoot a new movie and the first scenes involve me wearing a brown paper bag over my head, so that should shut people up.’ You tell them, Gemma!
