`Quantum` director Marc Forster says no to Kurt Cobain biopic
Marc Forster is looking ahead to âWorld War Zâ and other possible projects following his first James Bond film âQuantum of Solace.â A biopic about Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, though, is not one of those projects, contrary to speculation - blogs

âThatâs not correct,â Forster told MTV News regarding claims that he would step on to direct a Kurt Cobain movie at Universal. The film is reportedly being scripted by âX-Men Origins: Wolverineâ screenwriter and former Forster collaborator on âThe Kite Runnerâ David Benioff.
Though Forster brushed off his involvement with the Cobain biopic, which incidentally will not star James McAvoy, as âa rumor,â he expressed high hopes for the picture to be done well.
âItâs a cool concept,â the director said.
Courtney Love is tagged to executive produce the story of her late husband, looking at Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Gosling to reenact their marriage according to a story last year in The Mirror.
This apparently leaves the directorâs chair wide open. I personally wouldnât mind seeing a music obsessive like Cameron Crowe show some interest. Someone could always check with âWalk the Lineâ director James Mangold, too, if heâs not too busy with his new Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz rom.
