Sir Roger Moore on being a star fibber
He may be 81 and the author of an autobiography, My Word Is My Bond, but Sir Roger Moore admits he has no intention of kicking his lifelong habit of fibbing in interviews - reports the
Daily Express.
âIâm Walter Mitty-ish,â he admits. âIâve lied all my life. The trouble is you have to remember what youâve said.â
However, the former Bond star has no regrets about refusing to dish the dirt, real or fabricated, about his three ex wives Doorn van Steyn, Dorothy Squires and Luisa Mattioli.
âWhy would I say bad things?â Roger, currently married to Swedish-born Kristina Tholstrup, asks the Radio Times.
âThey were lovely ladies who had bad taste in men.
âIâve been exceedingly lucky. I behaved badly to a lot of wonderful people, often intentionally, and I apologise.â
